17. Green Tea
Green tea leaves are first harvested then allowed to dry up. No oxidation is involved in the process. This makes tea the simplest choice for tea drinkers, particularly if they’re looking to enhance their heart health. only one word of caution, don’t spoil the advantages by adding sugar to your tea.
A series of clinical studies conducted on the consequences of drinking tea has revealed that the habit helps in lowering the number of triglycerides and LDL (bad) cholesterol. tea may be a rich source of powerful antioxidants, one among which is EGCG or epigallocatechin gallate. EGCG is understood for preventing atherosclerosis or plaque buildup in arteries.
